Hey, guys, don't forget that this Saturday is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! What's that, you ask? Free Comic Book Day is a single day - the first Saturday in May each year - when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away certain comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. It's an awesome thing that promotes the medium and gives retailers a nice reason to have an event. A lot of stores also bring in creators to sign, and make a real party out of it.
Anyway, I'll be making my return after a three-year absence to the FCBD celebration at HEROES AREN'T HARD TO FIND in Charlotte, NC. I missed the last three FCBD's to various reasons beyond my control, but I'm back, baby. I'll be there with Chris Brunner, Ian Flynn, Sanford Greene, Jason Latour, Laura Martin, Rico Renzi, Budd Root, Bridgit Scheide, Chris Schweizer, Andy Smith, Brian Stelfreeze, and Matt Wilson-- signing books, running our yaps, and doing sketches for anyone who walks up. And I don't know about the other guys, but me? I won't charge you a cent.
So, if you're in Charlotte and you get a few minutes, please come on down to Heroes, get some free stuff, and maybe even buy a few things on your way out. Hope to see you there!
