RED OPENS (And I Return From The Hollywood Premiere)

It's been... well, "hectic" doesn't begin to describe the last week. Hell, it barely covers the last few months. But it all comes to fruition today with the release of RED, the feature film version of my and Warren Ellis' 2003 comic, starring Bruce Willis, Mary Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Karl Urban, Helen Mirren, and Helen Mirren's Guns. Oh, and Brian Cox. And a bunch of other recognizable actors.

I think that Warren and I have said all that can really be said about the movie at this point. The movie should really speak for itself, so please try and make it out to a theater for a big opening weekend!

In the meantime, over at Wildstorm's THE BLEED blog, I give the lowdown on my experience of the Hollywood premiere and the party that followed. Enjoy!

A great movie with lots of action and comedy. I will have to pick up the trade and compare the two. Congrats!

Hi, Cully - just saw RED today, and laughed my ass off. Now I have to track down the collected series. Why, oh why do you do this to me? Congratulations - it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
